If you look closely at this picture of what's under the hood of our car, you'll see a chicken hidden deep inside. This was the latest adventure. The boys came in saying the chicken was stuck in the car. I went outside to see a group of kids parading around our car. A couple of our adult neighbors were also in our driveway, hesitantly smiling and shaking their heads saying they were glad we'd moved into the neighborhood, I guess for entertainment value. Apparently the chicken didn't like the chicken elevator the boys had devised, had gotten skittish, and flew up under the car. After many unsuccessful attempts, we finally extracted the chicken and put her safely back in the coop. It only took an hour or so. Without the concern of roasted chicken, we were then on our way to Lagoon where we tried out some fun rides and played with cousins. It wasn't too crowded and was pretty fun. What an eventful day!
