Davy Crockett

Michael always likes to have an intriguing project to work on. And anyone who knows Michael will agree that he is extremely creative and resourceful. He's used these skills to create igloos, ice skating rinks, giant snow obelisks, and he's dried leaves to weave them into baskets and mats. This is just to name a few. General Conference weekend usually yields amazing results. While listening to conference in past years, a massive cardboard castle was erected, complete with painted bricks and second story tower. This time around, it was coon skin hats from the tanned skins he "tried his hand at". It's always an adventure to see what Michael's newest project will be. That's one of the reasons I love being married to him.

  1. That's awesome! We were just thinking about you guys on our walk Sunday between sessions. There was somebody in their garage, working under the hood of an old car, with animal hides up on all the walls. We thought this is exactly what your garage is going to look like someday! Didn't he make one for you, Melanie?

  2. We were just thinking William would look good in a little black bearskin hat. Now we know just the person to make it for him! Can't wait to hear the hunting story. (I am required by law to inform you that this is Chris.)
